This little tachinid female seems to me as Gymnosoma sp., but the size is really shorter than usual (4-5 mm, as Cistogaster sp.)!
More I try to find, grater it's difficult Sad

Found on parsley flowers, near Paris (France) in July 2006.

Gymnosoma nitens perhaps? Smile That's the really small species here and the specimen I have has a slightly stripey abdomen.

It would be new to me too - if I could find one! Wink Here they are rare and quite restricted to the east, around London.

Looks like Gymnosoma nitens.
Which is, in my mind, so different from the other ones that I personally prefer the name Stylogymnomyia nitens.
