I found this beautiful fly on a mixed deciduous forest (Castanea sativa, Laurus nobilis, Quercus robur, Corylus, Betula, Salix, Prunus, Pinus ...), quite humid but always pleasant temperatures (close to the coast). October 17.     Agathomyia sp.? Thanks! Edited by Belen on 12-11-2013 22:40 |

This seems to be a female Agathomyia elegantula, but I wonder if it has been found this far south in Europe before. Interesting! And the pictures are nice too... |

Wow! Thank you very much Paul!  This area has a climate similar to the SW of France, to give you an idea (wet with mild temperatures, at most a couple of frost per year and the summer is mild, a couple of days at 35 ° C and the rest between 25-30 ° C maximum), is located in the "rainy Spain".Regards! |
