I photographed this fly today at Leerdam, Netherlands. There were lots of them around, almost all sunning against tree trunks. They were quite small, perhaps 7-8 mm (?) long. I guess this is Empididae, perhaps genus Rhamphomyia? Could anyone confirm or deny this and could it perhaps be identified to species level? Thanks in advance! Yes. Position rather characteristic for Ramphomyia crssirostris.
