Hello!

Not sure without seeing the fore tarsi. Could be Eristalis pertinax or interrupta. The latter has dark tarsi and is smaller.
Best regards,
Jürgen

This is certainly pertinax. In addition to the overall appearance the long pterostigma is well visible. Therefore it cannot be interrupta. But Eristalis similis (= pratorum) is very similar to pertinax and can be separated best by the colour of the fore tarsi (pertinax entirely yellow, similis black).

Regards,
Dieter

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
