Hello,

New to diptera.info, this is my first post!

I wonder whether this fly, found on 31/12/2006 at 2:00 am by a very warm night (~ 14?C) and attracted by light, is or not a Dryomyzidae.
The fly was big (between 10 and 15 mm, roughly) and did make a loud noise when flying. Pictures taken in Cuigy (France, 60), Picardy.

Hi Daniel.
You are right, this nice fly is winter form of Dryomyza flaveola, Dryomyzidae.
