Yes, I'd go with Estheria but I'd need to see the specimen to be able to key it confidently - it isn't an easy group and in Turkey there could be new species waiting to be described. Smile

Does anyone there work on Tachinidae who can determine specimens? A Dr. Kenan Kara contacted me a few years ago and said then that he has been working on the group.

Dear Chris,
This year we will separate our non identified tachinids for closer determination for a publication. As we corresponded with you in last years, we would like to collaborate with you on this matter.

best wishes,
Prof. Dr. Ahmet O.Kocak

That would be very interesting, thank you. I would have to collaborate with a few others but it would be interesting to see Turkish material - it isn't an area that I am familiar with but I have been working on some specimens from that part of the world recently.
