 Hi,

This fly sat on a treetrunk in an open forest (Holland). Looks like a Phaonia species. Does anybody know the species (an on what characteristics can it be recognized?)

 Phaonia is correct.
Looks as Phaonia subventa, but difficult to be sure by photo.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
