This is the volume by Stubbs & Chandler? It is an introduction to the Diptera covering life histories, collecting methods etc. It is not an identification guide but there are useful keys to larvae Although its now getting quite old it still has a lot of interesting information packed in its pages. I don't use it much but I wuld never clear it from my bookshelves cheers Adrian |

Jorge I would endorse what Adrian has said. Lots of interesting information and comment, but not an ID guide. I like the list of families at the back with ratings to indicate how difficult they are to identify. Susan |
