Pales pavida? Its got the bristles up the front of the face and the pale hairs at the back of the head - can't see the orange on the hind tibia and scutellum, but I think that is what it might be.

Well, it's possibly a tachinid - but I can't see enough to go much further I'm afraid.

Where is it from ? Is is really so black, or are we fooled by the light ? If so, a long shot would be Exorista spec., given the parafacial bristles and head profile Theo Zeegers |
