Id request for an orange Fly

Hi,

Can anyone assist towards an Id for this Orange fly taken in Surrey Southern England 8th June 2006 - In a Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) hedge.

It is Muscidae.
I think it is male of Phaonia pallida.
