I came across this smart bee munching Asilid on Gran Canaria last month. I hope it will be possible to get a rough ID from the picture. Thanks |

Promachus latitarsatus, endemic to Gran Canaria. Isn't it munching a Syrphid fly? |

The prey is certainly a worker from Apis mellifera, look at the long radial cell in the fore wing. Regards, Marc |
