Obviously a Bombylius sp, but not the commonest species. I think this will be easy for David.

i agree with Mielczarek except it is currently called S. ctenopterus. the only worry is that i am used to seing this species in the early part of the year so August is possibly a second brood or a later or extended season in that part of Europe.

Hi David.

thank you for your help and informations. Hohtenn in the Kanton Wallis is a very warm place on the south side of the alps in Switzerland, so i think, a second brood ist possible.
