Thanks again Nikita! To be honest, I find it difficult to see the difference between these species!? I think I have to watch more of these flies and read some about the species. At this moment I cannot look in the Dutch species account so I don't know if this fly occurs in The Netherlands.. It would be great if someone can confirm that this fly is Scathophaga inquinata? Robert! 1. Excuse me, I meaned Scathophaga lutaria! But as far as I understand the situation, it is difficult to be sure enought without collected specimen. 2. During my first year in Diptera I was in permanent despair because of my total incapablity to understand what is the difference between Scathophagidae and Sciomyzidae. Then, one day it became clear and simple... Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
