Hello,

can anyone determine this two flies taken 14th January 2007, between the Black Forest (north) and the
Upper Rhine / Murg Valley / Southwestern Germany, 165 meters.

I think it is female (1) and male (2) of Phaonia subventa, Muscidae.

ok. so 5 stripes in torax can appear in Muscidae as well. awkward
And i see now that the M vein is not bend... therefore it cannot be a Sarcophagidae! But the red eyes and the 5 stripes fouled me. Sad
