Hello Forum, this is my first post in this interesting forum! I photographed this fly on the 25th of May in 2005 in Handewitt (Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany). It flew on an edge of the forest. Can anybody help me with the identification of these fly (Tephritis sp., Campiglossa sp.,...)? I?ve got the tip with Tephritis or Campiglossa in another forum. Hi Mario, Tephritis vespertina, you can't see any of the characters separating Campiglossa from Tephritis, for that you need either a photograph from the side, to see teh tongue of you'ld need a photo showing the tergites. In this case the wingpattern is sufficient for id. John |
