Can anyone tell me which species of Syrphidae this is? Alberta, Canada, June 17, 2006. Size 15mm

Almost, but not quite! Grin
It's a Helophilus allright, but not pendulus.
It doesn't occur in Canada! Wink And because there are more than 30 species of Helophilus in the Nearctic, it's not possible ti ID this from a picture I guess! Sad
