Hi, Can anyone assist with an Id for this fly please ? Checking the Gallery seems to point me towards Anthomyiidae and possibly Hydrophoria lancifer ? The photo was taken 9th May 2006 in Surrey Southern England, size was not recorded, in a sunny part of the Garden. I think so, that it is Hydrophoria, but not Hydrophoria lancifer. With f2 and f3 yellow it has to be Hydrophoria linogrisea. Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
