Hello! Still photographing Muscids... ;-). Are all these from our house wall and from trees at the forest edge from yesterday (Ostwestfalen/Germany) females of Phaonia subventa? Length about 10-12 mm. Thanks! Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Hi Juergen. 1. I think 1,2 and 3,4 - two different flies. 2. Accorning my key 3,4 fits with Ph. rufiventris - 1ac presut, antennae yellow/black. But as I wrote in: http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=4501&pid=20044#post_20044 currently I have doubts in my key. Hello, Nikita! Nikita Vikhrev wrote: 1. I think 1,2 and 3,4 - two different flies. Pics 1 and 2 are different individuals, 3 and 4 show the same animal, if I remember correctly this time. 2. Accorning my key 3,4 fits with Ph. rufiventris - 1ac presut, antennae yellow/black. On 3,4 I could not see the dark middle band often on the abdomen of P. subventa. That would favour P. rufiventris of course. But it's not clearly visible because of the wings...
