From midwest Sweden 2006-OCT-12, on apples. Is this a Thricops diaphanus? It looks like the one in the gallery.

Hi Crex.
This fly has all nessesary characters to be T. diaphanus:
arista black and very short plumose; presutural ac week hair-like; forehead and back of head - grey-black.

P.S. My test - 1-st image is very good and has to be send for Gallery as dorsal view of T. diaphanus
