Hallo, allerseits! This 5 mm fly sat at our garden lantern yesterday night (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Not very well visible, but the abdomen seemed to be orange-brown. Could it be a Lauxaniid (Pseudolyciella?)? Thanks for any hints! Hi Juergen. I think it is another Tephrochlamys or another Heleomyzidae. Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

When I saw it sitting there, it seemed to me bulkier and smaller than the slender Tephrochlamys some postings ago. But now I see the similarities.
