Can anyone help me identify this Hoverfly from Flores? Taken near Mt.Kelimutu at c.700m asl.

In the Western Palaearctic this would be Episyrphus balteatus, Don't know if this occurs in Flores, or whether you have similar species, but it seems to get most everywhere else!

Yes, it is a species of Episyrphus, but as far as I can see it's not balteatus. There are some morte species in the Oriental.
