Both about 2.5mm body length. Assume #1 is a moth fly-Psychodidae but what is #2?
Both taken today South Coast UK

Thanks

Psychodidae are very annoying flies (sucking blood..). awkward I saw lots of them here. they rest next to a grapevine during the night, for example.

Most Psychodidae in more temperate areas of Europe do not suck blood. The bloodsuckers are the so-called sandflies and I am happy to say we lack those in our country. The mothflies can be annoying but that usually is as sewage flies.

The moth fly is likely to be within Psychoda.
