Hi,
This lovely Didea I saw in southern Brandenburg in the beginning of August. The halter knobs are a bit too dark for D. fasciata, but I have no idea which other species are around and how to tell them apart. Help is greatly appreciated!
Many thanks, Sundew

Still this is Didea fasciata. The face has a yellow knob, not dark.

Many thanks, dear Andre! In all descriptions of D. fasciata that I found the yellow halters were highly emphasized. Now I learn that the yellow face is more important for species ID - that's very interesting!
