Thought this was an aphid when I first spotted it but not so sure now- can't see a proboscis. Body length about 3mm.

Looks like a Heteroptera (proboscis is hidden at the underside between the hips). Perhaps Reduviidae??

From what I can see the wings are held at an angle and that certainly would spell like a-p-h-i-d to me. Pfft

Paul- it was certainly holding it's wings like an aphid (sort of forming a triangle over the body).
Pierre- no was on the side of a water barrel another favourite hunting place of mine.
Here's a small wasp on my car in case you were missing them Smile
