Hello, I can't solve these two questions by myself.

1) Anthrax had some subgenera before (Argyramoeba, Thyridanthrax, Hemipenthes), as they were raised as genus all our Anthrax species today are subgenera Argyramoeba.

There was "A. maculosa", later with a synonym "A. tajikistanus", later it was seen that A. tajikistanus was identic to A. ipirensis.

I was doubting if the valid name was A. tajikistanus or A. maculosa and then I saw this: http://www.faunae...?id=130039 a fourth name! It seems they justify that 4th name because "maculosa" was "occupied" by Argyramoeba, but I don't understand that since Argyramoeba's never been a genus (?)

Is really A. chionostigma the "correct" name now?

2) Old keys separate A. trifasciatus and A. leucogaster saying A. leucogaster has the spot at the fork R4-5 (when A. leucosgaster was only a variety) and not A. trifasciatus. Then they became 2 species.

In the spanish checklist it appears as A. leucogaster, in Faune de France and Fauna Europaea it appears as A. trifasciata, but with that spot that defined A. leucogaster

So this is correct considering the division of these two species http://diptera.info/photogallery.php?photo_id=7543 and this is correct http://diptera.info/photogallery.php?photo_id=2134 considering them synonums

Does now A. trifasciatus cover both options (spot /no spot)?

Thanks for your help
Regards
