21/07/2011, Louette Saint-Denis (Wallonia, Belgium). On Anthriscus sylvestris. Based on the colour, it looks like Pyrrhocoris apterus or Corizus hyoscyami, but shape and pattern don't match. A teneral one? Or something completely different? Thanks in advance!

I'd call this Eurydema dominulus.

Either that or E. ornata. Compare these:

The pattern fits better with E. ornata. Thanks to both of you!

Actually, I think the pattern fits dominulus better. I believe that one of the distinguishing characters is that the exocorium (the outermost strip of the forewing) of dominulus does not have a black spot, whereas that of ornata does. Also dominulus is a smaller species, and the size, judging from the Pastinaca? (not Anthriscus) seeds, looks to be better for dominulus.
It would be good to hear from someone who is more familiar with the species! Smile

My opinion is the same as Tony Irwin.
