This specimen was found in a meadow. It was always jumping when I tried to approach it.Smile I have only one photo from it, and I guess it might be a Chorthippus sp. Can anyone give me some indications about the family and by chance the genera?

This is difficult to identify, as it is a final instar nymph, rather than an adult. (In an adult grasshopper, the anterior edge of the wings, with the stronger veins, is lowermost.) From the thoracic pattern I would say it is a Chortippus, but I wouldn't like to say which species. Smile There are various on-line Orthoptera sites where you could post the image and you may get a more expert opinion.
