Hello everyone!
I collected this larvae from a bromeliad (phytotelmata) in a cloud forest (aprox. 2000 meters above sea level) in Ecuador. Could someone please clarify if it is indeed a Thaumaleidae larvae? Maybe even the genus?

No picture, but I suspect Ceratopogonidae is more likely.

I agree with Tony. This is no Thaumalaeidae, but a Ceratopogonidae, something like Forcipomyia or Atrichopogon or similar genera.
