Hi,
A week ago I watched lots of caterpillars that fed on Berlin oaks. One Agriopis spec. (Geometridae) was visited by a small Ichneumonid wasp. I wondered what would happen, however, the caterpillar lifted its tail and wiped the wasp off the leaf.
Is there any chance to get the wasp a name? Thanks, Sundew

Many thanks, Camille! In WaspWeb I read about this subfamily: "Endoparasitoids (koinobiont) of butterfly and moth (Lepidoptera) and beetle (Coleoptera) larvae. Eggs are laid into the larva and adult wasp emerges from host pupa." So the caterpillar was right to defend itself (hopefully not too late!)
