Hello! Now I finally know, why so many flies are producing "bubbles": they like to watch themselves in a mirror... ;-) Is this Thricops diaphanus? Or perhaps Phaonia pallida again? Size of a normal house fly, pics taken this afternoon in our garden (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Thanks in advance! Hello, Nikita! Nikita Vikhrev wrote: Thricops diaphanus Thanks a lot! It's a pretty fly :-). For future cases I have saved your explanations on http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=4015 as a JPG file :-).
