Hi, on a Hungarian forum someone posted these photos, can somebody determine them? They were bigger-sized Syrphids ovipositing on the bark of Acer sp and Ulmus sp. trees. Thanks! Link here! Myolepta obscura, a very rare species all over Europe. Looks similar to M. vara, but hairs on hind femora, mesoscutum and scutellum are longer. Very nice to see these pictures! |
