Found an a fresh peace of Choice nut wood.
South Germany, Baden-Württemberg, city of Waldshut, between Waldshut and Schmitzingen on Semi-arid grassland. 480 meters above the sea.
Date: 16.04.2011, pictures by myselfe.

Looks Syrphidae. There's a picture of Brachyopa panzeri in the Gallery that looks something like this.
