Please identify 071_ID. The photograph was taken 1/21/2011 at 11:23 on the inner side of the window in the family home. Size is about 4 mm.

I have bad news for you.... I'm pretty sure this is a wood boring beetle Ptilinus pectinicornis - beetle family Anobiidae. Its larvae bore through timber and can cause a lot of damage. Maybe your roof timbers and floor joists need to be sprayed!?
