Tachinidologists and dipterists in general,

I'm glad to signal that a new book on the Tachinidae of the Italian fauna by Pierfilippo Cerretti is now published. The book consists of two volumes: Vol. 1 with the general introductive chapters + the taxonomic treatment (including keys to species level) of all 639 species of the Italian fauna, and Vol. 2 with high quality digital images, SEM images and line drawings of 602 species representing all genera treated in Vol. 1. These volumes are also accompanied by a CD-Rom with interactive keys to the 311 genera of W-Palaearctic tachinids.

The paper volumes are in Italian, but the interactive keys are in English.

See the attached flyer for details on how to order the book and prices. Having seen this work personally, I can only strongly recommend it to all those interested in Palaearctic Tachinidae.

Daniel

Looks superb ... just the current exchange rate and the 120 euros price puts it out of my reach at the moment, without a little budgeting - but I would be very keen to get a copy Smile
