Has anyone any idea as to what this rather handsome sawfly, photographed on nettles (Urtica dioica) at the Radley Lakes (Oxfordshire) in early June, might be? Apologies for the poor quality of the photo, but it was not exactly ideally posed for a good shot. Quite small. Serrations in leaf should give idea of scale. Black and white/yellow annulations on legs are less clear in this shot than in another I managed to take.

Athalia rosae, easy to recognise from the other Athalia's by the orange front and back part of the thorax.

Wow! A positive id from a less-than-perfect photo. Brilliant!

Thanks Jorgen, that is most helpful.
