Taken yesterday on 2nd September.

I think this can be Eristalinus aeneus... but I?m not sure. What do you think?

Close. but five conspicuous grey stripes on thorax = female sepulchralis. Also aeneus is a sea coast species (at least in U.K, Ireland)

Hmmm,
Robert, you shouldn't forget that in Southern Europe the females of aeneus also have strong stripes on the thorax, just like sepulchralis. And in the South they're not restricted to the coast, you'll find them inland as well! Grin
But, still this could be sepulchralis, because it looks like it has dull spots on the abdomen which would suggest sepulchralis!
