Hello! Normally I'd say this is Musca autumnalis, but the fly was rather tiny for this species (5-6 mm I think). Photos taken on August-31 here in Ostwestfalen/Germany. Well, I would agree with M. autumnalis. But maybe some Muscid-expert knows of more species ? Theo Zeegers |

Agree M. autumnalis - 6mm is not too small for a small one!

Hello, Theo and Tony! Tony Irwin wrote: Agree M. autumnalis - 6mm is not too small for a small one! Many thanks! There were more of them, mostly smaller than the ones I remember from last year. Maybe because of the cold August (?). Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
