I am not sure which family this midge belongs to. Cecidomyiidae?

yes, just few veins. I think Lestreminnae is the only subfamily with ocelli, but a difficult family for me (well, another Smile ) . The use to be small and most references by internet are from their galls..

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
