Can anyone say if this is V. bombylans. I know the patterning varies a lot, but haven't come across this pattern before.

Many thanks. Somehow missed that one in the gallery and it was much bigger and hairier than other Cheiiosia's I've seen before. I'll know it next time for sure! Said to be common in UK especially on Heracleum... which is what is was feeding on.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
