Should be Eupeodes luniger, as the yellow marks clearly do not extend to the edge of the tergites and the hairs on the scutellum are mainly black. However, I had not noticed yet that its eyes are thus hairy. My photos do not show this, but your camera allows for higher magnification, which might be the explanation. |

Not Eupeodes, but Dasysyrphus, with haired eyes. Looks like a male Dasysyrphus pinastri, but from these pictures I can't rule out Dasysyrphus lenensis.... Greetings Greetings, Gerard Pennards |
