can anyone suggest a species this black 8mm syrphidae?
I take the photo on 28.5.2010 Kokkola Finland.

Dear Pentti, I have a question: you have such a wonderful new book on Finish Syrphidae.
Why not try to identify Syrphidae yourself?
Apparently you kill them to take pictures, so... would be a logical next step Smile
