Hello,

today I collected two of these Cheilosias. I found them at the Lauwersmeer area in the far north of the Netherlands. I can not ID it..
It has bristles on the scutellum
Antenna red
strenites dusted
facial knob seems to be poorly developed
eyes densly haired

I think I excluded all common cheilosias from here:
bergenstammi and fraterna have shiny sternites
pagana has bare eyes
proxima has dark antennae
albipila has no bristles

velutina seems to be a good candidate but that would be a bit very early....
Probably I make a mistake somewhere, who helps me out....

greetings, Sander

Thanks, yes that seems to fit fairly well and would be nice!
Two weeks ago I caught a female at Drentsche Aa, she is quite different.

I will bring both next week to the diptera weekeind,

greetings,

Sander
