Loricera pilicornis (Carabidae) - the long setae on the antennae are distinctive.

also note the constricted head behind the eyes. In The Netherlands this is one of the commonest species of groundbeetles in cultivated areas. This means that Scatsa Airport is cultivated, sorry.

Hi Ton
Smile Hmmm glad someone thinks Scatsta Airport is cultivated....or should be. I think I'm the only cultivated one there as I CAN DO JOINED UP WRITING Pfft, if that counts. There is farmland all round, mainly sheep and cattle, and there is a large field which gets ploughed every other year for growing grass for silage. There has been a lot of construction going on in recent years, and there is to be more over the coming couple of years, building a new terminal / admin. and Control Tower as most of the existing building was built in the 1970's as a temporary airport to fly in workers constructing Sullom Voe Oil Terminal.
Here endeth the history lesson Wink

Roger....so cultivated I can type with TWO FINGERS....Smile
