From just north of Stockholm, Sweden today. This tiny fly was found on (what I think are) fox droppings. There where also bluebottles and this fly was about half their size. It looked like "she" was laying eggs into the droppings ...

It seems to me that onsecond image is visible that vein A reach wing margin.

It's an anthomyiid female. I collected some very similar flies on dog dung a couple of weeks ago, but haven't identified them yet. (see picture) A very large number of anthomyiid species feed on dung of various sorts. Great photo opportunities, as long as you're up-wind! Grin
