From just north of Stockholm, Sweden today. This tiny fly was found on (what I think are) fox droppings. There where also bluebottles and this fly was about half their size. Hi Crex It's an anthomyiid female. I collected some very similar flies on dog dung a couple of weeks ago, but haven't identified them yet. (see picture) A very large number of anthomyiid species feed on dung of various sorts. Great photo opportunities, as long as you're up-wind!
