To quote Duran Duran freely "Males on film !' Females are so much easier in Gymnosoma. Anyway, this is again either a male of nudifrons or rotundatum, and my strong impression is that is nudifrons. The border between the golden dust in front of thorax and black hind part just reaches the suture, which would be the critical feature. In males, that is. Theo |

Thanks a lot Theo - any more fundamental differences between the two? - maybe genitalia? - once I managed to do it (with Eurithia). |

No, no other differences in males. Actually, the distinction between males is in my opinion not 100 %. Females, however, are clearly distinct and both species have different distributional pattern, so there is no doubt that 2 good species are involved. The genus Gymnosoma is badly in need of a full revision. Theo |
