Size 12mm. Maybe Eurithia? But wing venation and head are different from Eurithia species that I photographed earlier.

Very nice pictures ! The Tachinid looks like a Dexiini, with the short antenna and very high jowls (gena). It is, however, Microphthalma europaea, in a different subfamily. The resemblance is, however, striking. There are two of those: Microphthalma and Dexiosoma. Both have a long appendix in the wing to the bend of vein M, which is unusually in Dexiini (though it does occur, for instance in Zeuxia). Theo Zeegers |
