At least mesonotum mostly dark. I'd say ornatus

Thank you Igor! We don't have any pics of this in the Gallery, is it safe to put this one in as Xanthochlorus ornatus or perhpas with a cf.? There's 3 species in the UK, the other being Xanthochlorus luridus. |

Xanthochlorus cf. ornatus Xanthochlorus luridus is excluded from Britain. Included: Xanthochlorus galbanus Chandler et Negrobov, 2008: Dipterists Digest 15: 30 ** HT [National Museums of Scotland] et 43PT [NMS, BMNH, Voronezh Univ., National Museum of Ireland]. Type locality: England: Gloucestershire, Coombe Dingle. Palearctic: Great Britain, Hungary, Italy * Xanthochlorus silaceus Chandler et Negrobov, 2008: Dipterists Digest 15: 34 ** HT [National Museums of Scotland] et 25PT [NMS, BMNH].
