Hello,

this 8mm fly is from july from about 1800m on the austrian mountains. I don't really have an idea, what it is. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Michael

Hello,
I present Pierre Mille of France near Paris in the Val d'Oise in Herblay. I am interested in Diptera and specifically to hoverflies.
I started in the study group and the picture looks like the kind Dasysyrphus

I'm not sure Smile

Nope, it's a female Sphaerophoria sp., by the looks of it not further identifiable!

Thank you Gerard. I should have recognized it, but somehow the habitus seemed slightly different.

I think this one must be identifiable. Did you collect it?
