a syrphid active today around Izmir, West Turkey. Could its species identified?

 Nope, not a syrphid. It's Stomorhina lunata, Calliphoridae. A lot of people mistake it for a syrphid...

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
