Hello!

Is this male Tabanid, visiting the UV light yesterday night (Ostwestfalen/Germany), a Haematopota crassicornis (rather dark wings)? Thanks in advance!

I'm struggling with this one! Sad
The first antennal segments appear to be extensively dusted, which suggests subcylindrica, but I don't know that species, and as it's supposed to have light grey wings, it hardly fits.
Have you got pictures from any other angles?
Tony

The wings are quite dark, yet the first antennal segment is clearly and largely greyish dusted. Therefore, it cannot be crassicornis.
Difficult to tell what it really is.
